Boris Hauf

Boris Hauf (* 1974 in London ) is an Austrian musician (saxophone, flutes, synthesizer, organ, electronics) in the fields of avant-garde jazz , improvisation music and electroacoustic music .

Live and act

Boris Hauf studied cello, saxophone and flute at conservatories in Linz and Vienna , and also worked at the Linz Studio for Advanced Music Technology . In the mid-1990s the first recordings were made with the punk band Fuckhead ; At the end of the decade he incorporated electronic music into his game. He was the founder of the electro-acoustic avant-garde band Efzeg , and he also played in the Ulrichsberg Tri-Centric Ensemble, with Josef Novotny , Burkhard Stangl and in Joëlle Léandre Tentet. He also worked regularly in Chicago with ensembles such as the Chicago Sound Map and Television Power Electric . From 2001 he published a number of private recordings and downloads under the title Shameless . In 2012 the Berlin-based musician played with a sextet from u. a. Keefe Jackson , Jason Stein , Frank Rosaly released the album Next Delusion ( Clean Feed Records ).
