St. Lambertus (Oberhundem)

The Catholic parish church St. Lambertus is a listed church building at Rüsper Straße 5 in Oberhundem , a village in the municipality of Kirchhundem in the Olpe district ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).

History and architecture

The three-bay church with a retracted, single-bay , just closed choir was built from 1769 to 1771 under the supervision of Ignatius Gehly . The west tower is from Roman times. The gothic, simple plastered building is structured by buttresses and arched windows. In the interior there are groin vaults with plastered ridges between pointed arched belts above flat wall pilasters .

Furnishing

Schweickardt

A large part of the standard equipment comes from Johann Eberhard Schweickard. The work was carried out between 1770 and 1775. The following were made: a main altar with a high columned retable , two side altars , a cup-shaped baptism, a pulpit and the confessionals.

Other equipment

  • The organ from 1650 was acquired in 1772, the instrument was acquired from Sundern Stockum in 1811.
  • The Pietà is a work of the late 15th century.
  • The wooden crucifix is from the second half of the 17th century
  • The stone figure of St. Roch was created in the early 18th century.
  • Wooden figures of Saints Barbara, Agatha and others from the 18th to 19th centuries.
