Frank Rosaly
Frank Rosaly (born May 30, 1974 in Chicago ) is an American jazz and improvisation musician ( drums ).
Live and act
Rosaly, who has been working in Chicago's improvisation scene since 2001, played a. a. with Matana Roberts , Jason Adasiewicz , with the formations Boxhead Ensemble of Michael Krassner , in Flatlands Collective to Jorrit Dijkstra , in Fred Lonberg-Holm Trio, in Keefe Jackson's Fast Citizens, Mandarin Movie , in Percussion Quartet by Dave Rempis and Scorch Trio . Rosaly leads the sextet Cicada Music , which includes James Falzone , Jason Stein , Keefe Jackson, Jason Adasiewicz and Jason Roebke . He also leads the quintet Green and Gold with Cameron Pfiffner, Nick Mazzarella , Tomeka Reid and Anton Hatwich , which deals with the music of Prince Lasha and Sonny Simmons . In the field of rock music he plays as a drummer in Brian Sulpizio's band Health & Beauty . He can also be heard on Peter A. Schmid's album Chicago Conversations (2015). Rosaly has lived in Amsterdam since 2016.
