Boris Nebyla (born January 15, 1976 in Bratislava ) is a Slovak former soloist of the Vienna State Opera , dancer, dance teacher, choreographer and founder of the ballet school dancearts in Vienna .

Life

His father, Dusan Nebyla, was a solo dancer at the Slovak National Theater in Bratislava. Boris Nebyla studied at the Dance Conservatory in his hometown of Bratislava as well as at the Conservatory of the City of Vienna and at the ballet school of the Austrian Federal Theater .

In 1997 he became a semi-soloist at the Vienna State Opera, in 2001 he became a solo dancer at the Vienna State Opera under the direction of Renato Zanella and from 1993-2005 he was a member of the Ballet of the Vienna State Opera. As part of his engagement, Boris Nebyla made guest appearances in Japan , Spain, Belgium, France, Ukraine, Italy, Germany. As a soloist at the Vienna State Opera, he worked with Simona Noja , Greta Hodkinson, Eva Petters , Irina Tsymbal and Shoko Nakamura .

Building on his classical technique, he creates classical and modern dance pieces for opera houses and stages. These include the choreographies of the ballet interludes for the opening of the Opera Ball 2011, of "RE: Composition" for the Vienna State Opera Ballet School (world premiere June 26, 2011), and individual scenes from the "La Traviata" (Verdi) production by Jean-Francois Sivadier the "Wiener Staatsoper" (premiere October 9, 2011)

He also founded the ballet studio dancearts with his wife Simona Noja . With the appointment of his wife as managing director of the ballet school of the Vienna State Opera (September 2010), Boris Nebyla is the artistic director of dancearts .

He also founded the Nebyla Dance Company , of which he is the choreographer and director. Under his direction and participation, the works choreographed by him Seorsum, Solus, Beyond, Crossings and Schick / saal or My Heart in Your Hand were performed.

Nebyla teaches classical ballet as well as modern and contemporary dance in his ballet school and is a guest teacher and, since 2006, guest trainer at the ballet of the Vienna State and Volksoper and at the Impulstanz Festival Vienna.

He is married to the former first solo dancer Simona Noja , with whom he also has a daughter.
