The Bormelsbach is a 1.6 km long orographically right tributary of the Möhne in North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany . The stream flows entirely in the area of the town of Warstein, which is part of the Soest district .

The Bormelsbach rises north of Welschenbeck at an altitude of 277 m above sea level. NN . The source area is on the southern slope of the hair strand . The stream Welschenbeck passes mainly in south-south-westerly directions on the western edge of the village. After crossing under the federal highway 516 , the stream flows past Welschenbeck Castle. The Mühlengraben, which has its origin in Belecke, flows here. A little later the Bormelsbach flows out at 247 m above sea level. NN on the right in the Möhne.
With a height difference of 30 meters, the mean bottom slope is 18.75 ‰. The approximately 2.73 km² catchment area is drained via Möhne, Ruhr and Rhine to the North Sea .
