Borowo [ ˈbɔrovo ] ( Bulgarian Борово ) is a small town in northern Bulgaria . It is located in the Russian Oblast and is the seat of the Borowo municipality of the same name. It is close to Bjala .

In 1974 the Thracian treasure of Borowo was found near Borowo .

Christo Markow , Olympic triple jump champion at the 1988 Summer Olympics , was born in Borowo.
