Bjala [ ˈbjaɫɐ ] ( bulg . Бяла ) is a city in northern Bulgaria . It is located in the Russian Oblast and is the seat of the Bjala municipality of the same name .

Geographical location
Bjala is near Borowo . The city is located in the central part of the Danube plain . The capital Sofia is 294 km south of the village .
history
Bjala was first mentioned in a document in 1618, but was probably built as early as 1596. In 1871 the place is mentioned as a craft center. During the Russo-Turkish War of Liberation, the Russian Tsar Alexander II had his headquarters in Byala from July 29 to August 13, 1877. In 1891 the place received city rights .
