The Botev Peak ( Bulgarian връх Ботев wrach Botew ) is a 370 m high mountain on Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . At the southern end of the Veleka Ridge of the Tangra Mountains, it rises 4.3 km west-southwest of Yambol Peak . The Tarnowo-Piedmont Glacier is to the east and northeast of it, Botev Point to the south and Barnard Point to the west.
The mountain was named after the name of the headland of the same name. It is named after the Bulgarian national poet and freedom fighter Christo Botew (1848–1876).
