Heinz Mollenhauer

Heinz Karl Wilhelm Joachim Mollenhauer (born August 22, 1893 in Braunschweig ; † September 5, 1977 there ) was a German lawyer , local researcher and politician ( DNVP ).

Life

Heinz Mollenhauer was born in Braunschweig in 1893 as the son of the grammar school teacher Karl Mollenhauer. He grew up in Blankenburg (Harz) and graduated from high school in Am Thie in 1912. A bank apprenticeship in Halle an der Saale was followed by law studies in Munich and Göttingen . The study time was interrupted by participation in almost the entire First World War. Mollenhauer worked from 1923 first as a court assessor, from 1925 as a lawyer and subsequently also as a notary in Braunschweig. At the time of the Weimar Republic , he was a member of the five-member DNVP parliamentary group in the Braunschweig state parliament from 1928 . During the Second World War he was a judge-martial in France.

After the war, Mollenhauer and Ernst Bergfeld were among the founders of the non-profit association “Freundeskreis des Große Waisenhauses BMV e. V. ” , which was launched in January 1951 to support the orphans in Braunschweig and of which he was chairman for many years. From 1951 to 1973 he was a board member of the Braunschweigische Landesverein für Heimatschutz , an honorary member of which he was appointed in 1973. Mollenhauer was a member of the literary association of clothing sellers . In 1963 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit, 1st Class .

Mollenhauer lived on Stresemannstrasse in Braunschweig. He died in Braunschweig in 1977.
