Boudh (also Baudhgarh ) is a small town in the Indian state of Odisha .
Boudh used to be the capital of the principality of the same name . Today Boudh is the administrative seat of the Boudh district . The city is 170 km west-northwest of Bhubaneswar , the capital of Odisha. Boudh is on the right bank of the Mahanadi . A road bridge crosses the river west of Boudh. The national highway NH 224 ( Nayagarh - Balangir ) runs through Boudh.
In the 2011 census, the population was 20,424. The city has the status of a Notified Area Council .
