Brünning is a part of the municipality Palling in the Upper Bavarian district of Traunstein . The church village is about two kilometers southwest of Palling.

history

The place is mentioned in connection with its church as "Brunningas" for the first time in the 8th century in the Notitia Arnonis . In the Middle Ages there was a noble family of the same name in Brünning , whose representatives between the 12th and 14th centuries are difficult to assign due to the fact that they had the same name as the Lords of (Stein) Brünning near Salzburghofen . The village already had 26 properties in the late 18th century.

The church was built as a late Gothic hall building around 1420 with a four-year nave and a significantly lower and strongly recessed choir.
