Baumham is a district of the parish Palling at an altitude of 565 m , the settlement lies on a wooded ridge. Since 2005 there have been two Repower MD77 wind turbines slightly above the district.

history

It is documented that before 1060 (before Archbishop Baldwin died) a "nobilis vir" - probably the former Count Palatine Aribo II - exchanged his estate "in loco Azingen" ( Assing ) for church property in Baumham. Later, the place Seeon as one of the landlords in Baumham mention.

The hamlet of Baumham had 46 inhabitants in 1868 when it was still part of the Freutsmoos community. Freutsmoos was incorporated in 1978 after Palling.
