Brădeşti ( Hungarian Bredest ) is a Romanian village in the Alba district in Transylvania . It is part of the municipality of Râmeț .

Brădești is located in western Transylvania on a ridge of the Trascău Mountains . Located on the county road ( drum județean ) DJ 107I, the place is 7 kilometers northwest of the community center. The nearest larger town is the small town of Teiuș ( Dreikirch ), about 25 kilometers away .

population

The 49 inhabitants of the place (as of 2002) call themselves all Romanians . The number of inhabitants has decreased significantly since the first official survey in 1956 (then 112).

Brădeşti is located on the dirt road between Aiud and Abrud . Public transport doesn't touch the place.

Attractions

The place itself has no special features. Its scenic location and its proximity to some of the attractions of the Trascău Mountains ( Râmeț Gorge , Peştera Dâlbina Cave ) are of tourist interest .

There are still several thatched-roof houses in and around the village, but these are no longer used for residential purposes.
