The Brabus Rocket 900 is a high-performance vehicle from Brabus . In contrast to the Brabus Rocket, which is based on the CLS series , the Rocket 900 is based on the Mercedes-Benz S-Class . The vehicle has been built since 2015 as a sedan based on the Mercedes-AMG S 65 , since 2016 as a coupé and since 2017 as a convertible based on the Mercedes-AMG S 65 Coupé . The sedan and coupé were presented at the Geneva Motor Show in the year of their market launch; the convertible made its debut at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt am Main in September 2017 .

technology

With the help of a new crankshaft , new connecting rods and new pistons, the displacement of the Mercedes-AMG S 65 is increased from 6.0 liters to 6.2 liters. The increased output to 662 kW (900 PS) is achieved, among other things, through an optimized intake area, new downpipes , new turbochargers and a new exhaust system . Brabus specifies the maximum torque with 1500 Nm, which is electronically limited to 1200 Nm with regard to the drive train and the 7- speed automatic transmission .
