Brad Peyton (born May 28, 1978 in Gander , Newfoundland , Canada ) is a Canadian film director , screenwriter and television producer .
Life
Peyton graduated from the Canadian Film Center. He had first success with his short film Evelyn: The Cutest Evil Dead Girl . The film was shown in its class, all of whom applauded. His teacher, filmmaker Jeremy Podeswa, advised him to show the film to someone in charge of the New York film industry. The film was then shown at the Toronto International Film Festival . He then created the clay animation series What It's Like Being Alone , which was shown on CBC / Radio Canada from 2006 . After the success of What It's Like Being Alone , he became the director of Cats & Dogs: Revenge of Kitty Kahlohr .
In 2012, Peyton shot the sequel to the film Journey to the Center of the Earth with the title Journey to the Mysterious Island with Dwayne Johnson , which was a great financial success. In 2015 he made the disaster film San Andreas , again with Dwayne Johnson in the lead role.
