YK Brain's Base ( Japanese 有限会社 ブ レ イ ン ズ ・ ベ ー ス , Yūgen-gaisha Bureinzu Bēsu , English Brain's ・ Base Inc. ) is a Japanese animation studio.

history

Brain's Base was founded in 1996 by Kazumitsu Ozawa ( 小 沢 十 光 ) after he had left the animation studio Tōkyō Movie Shinsha (now: TMS Entertainment ) as a producer .

His first significant involvement in the production of an anime had the studio in 2000 with the video production ( OVA ) Shin Getter Robo tai Neo Getter Robo and the movie Kaze o Mita Shōnen - The Boy Who Saw The Wind . Two years later, the studio produced its first television series with Bakutō Sengen Daigunder .

In June 2013, the 3rd production department was spun off as an independent animation studio Shuka .
