Branko Radičević
Branko Radičević ( Cyrillic Бранко Радичевић ; born March 28, 1824 in Slavonski Brod ; † July 1, 1853 in Vienna ) was a Serbian poet of 19th century Romanticism . Alongside Jovan Jovanović Zmaj , he is considered one of the most important and popular romantic poets in Serbia. Even if he was under the influence of Byron and German Romanticism - especially Heine , Schiller and Uhland - his source of inspiration remained the Serbian folklore or the oral Serbian tradition in general.
