BRA (Brasil Rodo Aéreo) Transportes Aéreos is a Brazilian airline based in São Paulo and formerly a hub at São Paulo-Guarulhos Airport , which served both domestic and foreign destinations and now offers charter flights. In August 2006, BRA was the third largest Brazilian airline with a market share of 4.19%.

history

The airline was founded in 1999 and started operating under the name Brasil Rodo Aéreo in the same year . In March 2006 the name was changed to BRA Transportes Aéreos . A code-sharing agreement between BRA and OceanAir had existed since July 2007, which in particular made it possible to significantly increase the number of flights offered within Brazil. On November 6, 2007, BRA applied to the Brazilian authorities responsible to suspend flight operations as of the following day. In 2009, almost two years after the flight operations were discontinued, the airline resumed charter flight operations with a Boeing 737 , which formerly belonged to Gol Transportes Aéreos . The machine used was sold to Puma Air in 2010.

Former goals

Until the end of flight operations, BRA offered flights to destinations in Brazil as well as flights e.g. B. to Lisbon , Madrid and Milan .
