TAF Linhas Aéreas was a Brazilian airline based in Fortaleza . It operated both cargo and passenger flights.

history

In 1971 the airline was founded as Táxi Aéreo Fortaleza . In 1995 the name was changed to TAF Linhas Aéreas . On June 15, 2010, the Brazilian civil aviation authority ANAC revoked her operating license.

Destinations

TAF flew exclusively nationally within Brazil from Fortaleza Airport to Belém , Manaus , Recife , São Luís and Teresina, among others .

As of September 2009, the TAF Linhas Aéreas fleet consisted of 16 aircraft.

Among other things, the line used the former Landshut of Lufthansa , which was hijacked to Mogadishu on October 13, 1977, as a cargo plane. The aircraft was in a corner of Fortaleza Airport until 2018 . In 2017, the German federal government said it wanted to bring the aircraft back to Germany and prepare it as an exhibit.
