The brewery Bub is a brewery in Leinburg that dates back to 1617. Most of the sale takes place in the Nuremberg region. Around 10,000 hectoliters of beer are produced every year.

history

The brewery

The brewery is the oldest private brewery in the Nuremberg region. At the instigation of the Nuremberg patriciate , beer was started to be brewed in Leinburg in 1617 . The brewery, which at that time was called Kyfabers Brey Haus , became the property of Johann Bub and Kunigunde Bachmeyer in 1830 as the Zur Krone brewery . Since then, the company has been run by members of the Bub family. Originally the Bubs were millers and, in addition to other mills, also operated the former Roesmühle and the Obermühle in Nuremberg's Reichswald . After Johann and Kunigunde, Wolfgang and Babette, Konrad and Margarete, Wilhelm and Katharina, Ernst (deceased) and Cornelia run the brewery in the fifth generation.

The brewery inn is no longer managed.

Historic brewery building

The brewery inn

The original brewery was built in the 17th century and has hardly been changed externally since then. In the middle of the 19th century, an inn was built as a square with a hipped roof and bat dormers . The windows have decoratively designed garments with carnies ornaments . The painted patrician coats of arms on the upper floor indicate the relationship with the imperial city of Nuremberg . The building complex is a listed building and connects to the parish church of St. Leonhard .
