Brauhaase is an internationally active German brewery group .
history
The brewery was founded in 1858 in Breslau as a family business under the name E. Haase lager brewery . After 1945 the company moved from Breslau to Hamburg , but initially did not brew beer there for about 20 years.
In 1966, Haase-Brauerei GmbH, under the direction of brewery engineer Joachim Haase, entered into an initial joint venture with SA Brasserie BB Lomé in Togo ( West Africa ) and built a turnkey brewery there with full management. The company thus became a consulting and planning office for breweries. In 1989 the company was renamed Brauhaase International Management GmbH . After several years of losses, Brauhaase generated annual profits of around 3 million euros from 2015 onwards; the balance sheet total in 2016 was 55.5 million euros.
