BMA Braunschweigische Maschinenbauanstalt AG , founded in Braunschweig in 1853, supplies machines for manufacturing sugar from sugar beet, sugar cane and raw sugar .
history
The company was founded in 1853 by Friedrich Seele , Lorenz Schöttler and others as Fr. Seele & Co. In 1870 the company was converted into a stock corporation and the name was changed to Braunschweigische Maschinenbauanstalt. As technical manager and director, Friedrich Wilhelm Schöttler had a major influence on the company's development in the first few decades.
In 2018, the Braunschweigische Maschinenbauanstalt was taken over by Salzgitter Maschinenbau AG .
Products
The products include extraction systems for sugar beet, diffusers for sugar cane, sugar drying and cooling systems, evaporators, continuous and discontinuous crystallization, continuous and discontinuous centrifuges, sugar drying and cooling systems and pumps.
BMA AG operates worldwide. The export quota is approx. 90% and the activities extend to more than 80 countries around the world.
