Brederlow is the name of an old Pomeranian noble family who first appeared in a document with Henningus de Brederlo on September 29, 1319. The line of the family begins with Konrad von Brederlow († 1409), lord of the Gartz manor on Plönesee in the Pyritz district . From the 15th to the 18th century the family had fiefdoms in Western Pomerania . These included the Warsin goods, also in the Pyritz district, and Gar (t) z. In 1749 the von Brederlow sold their Pomeranian goods and acquired properties in East Prussia .

Elevation of rank

The Prussian approval for the personal use of the baron title was given on December 29, 1862 in Berlin to the royal Prussian forester Hans von Brederlow , landlord of Groß Saalau and Bögen in the district of Bartenstein (East Prussia).
