Breithülen is a district of the Heroldstatt community in the Alb-Danube district in Baden-Württemberg . The place is on the road 230 between Magolsheim and Heroldstatt.
history
Breithülen was first mentioned in a document in the 12th century. Hüle is a common name in the Swabian Alb for the ponds typical of this region .
At the beginning of the 15th century, a farm belonging to the Blaubeuren monastery in Braithüle was sold. In the 16th century the place was only detectable as a field name (Braidthilen). Only in 1895 was a farm built again, which was bought as part of the military training area in the same year .
As part of the remunicipalisation of the community-free manor district of Münsingen ( Reutlingen district ), the 77.5 hectare large and 64-inhabitant housing estate Breithülen was reclassified to Heroldstatt on January 1, 2011.
