Brez ( Nones : Breč , German outdated: Bretz or Britsch ) is a fraction of the Italian municipality ( comune ) Novella in the province of Trento , region of Trentino-Alto Adige .
geography
The place is about 40 kilometers north of Trento in the upper Non Valley, not far from the border with Deutschnonsberg , the part of the valley belonging to South Tyrol .
history
Brez was an independent municipality until 2019 and merged with the neighboring municipalities of Cagnò , Cloz , Revò and Romallo on January 1, 2020 to form the new municipality of Novella. The districts of Arsio, Carnalez, Rivo, Salobbi and Traversara also belonged to the former municipality.
