Brian Richard Ledbetter (born November 18, 1963 in San Diego ) is an American sailor .
successes
Brian Ledbetter took part in the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul and 1992 in Barcelona in the boat class Finn Dinghy part. In 1988 he finished tenth with 91 points. The 1992 Olympic regatta was much more successful, finishing in second place with 54 points behind José van der Ploeg and ahead of Craig Monk, thus winning the silver medal. At the world championships in 1986 in Palma and Kingston in 1991 in the Finn dinghy, he was runner-up, and in 1987 he won the bronze medal in Kiel . In 2016 he secured himself inMiami also got bronze in the Star boat class . In 2003 Ledbetter started for Team OneWorld in the Louis Vuitton Cup and narrowly missed the start of the 31st America's Cup after losing to BMW Oracle Racing .
In 1985 Ledbetter graduated from the United States Naval Academy .
