Brian N. Ball

Brian Neville Ball (also known as BN Ball , Brian Ball or Brian N. Ball ; born June 19, 1932 in Cheshire ) is a British science fiction writer.

After studying in London and Sheffield , he works as a teacher. In 1962 he published his first short story in the science fiction magazine New Worlds , and from 1965 he became a freelance writer. His first novel is Sundog (German under the title Blockade ), in which he describes a humanity that is hindered by aliens from spreading into interstellar spaces and subject to strict control. The novels The Space Guardians (1975) and Survival (2005) are novel versions of episodes of the British television series Space: 1999 (German version as moon base Alpha 1 ). In addition to science fiction, he also wrote several works that can be attributed to horror literature.
