NFL draft

Philadelphia Eagles

In 2002 he was rarely used, but scored a touchdown against the Dallas Cowboys . He had a small breakthrough in 2003 when he scored a touchdown with a punt return and helped his team to victory at the last minute.

In 2004 he was invited to the Pro Bowl for the first time after a strong season (812 running yards , 703 caught yards and nine touchdowns) . However , he and his team lost the Super Bowl to the New England Patriots .

In 2005 Brian Westbrook signed a 5-year contract with the Eagles. He then injured himself on December 6th and was unable to play for the rest of the season.

In 2006, the running back also had to contend with injury concerns. He was only able to play his first game on November 19. He quickly became the key player in the offense . At the end of the season, he had 1,217 rushing yards and was able to surpass the 1,000-yard limit for the first time in his career. In total, he was able to achieve eleven touchdowns, most of them in his team.

The series of successes continued in 2007. At the end of the season, he had 1,333 rushing yards in 15 games, the second most in the NFC and the third most in the NFL. In total, he came to 2,104 yards, which brought him not only the team record but also number one in the NFL. On December 18, he was nominated for the Pro Bowl for the second time in his career since 2004.

After the 2009 season he was fired by the Eagles and was signed in August 2010 by the San Francisco as a replacement for Glenn Coffee , who shortly before ended his career.
