Brigitte Wormbs

Brigitte Wormbs (born May 14, 1937 in Betzdorf ) is a German garden and landscape architect and author.

Wormbs studied gardening and landscape design at the Technical University of Munich . She has been working as a freelance garden and landscape designer since 1966, living in Ulm. As an author, she dealt in theoretical works with dealing with nature and urban development as well as with garden art; In addition, she wrote essays on the perception, representation and design of landscape for magazines, daily newspapers and radio stations. Between 1976 and 1986 she produced four books, including a travel guide. She also gave lectures and took part in colloquia at home and abroad. From 1979 to 1983 she was a member of the of January Robert Bloch initiated working group natural quality , which the Institute for Science Education of the University of Kiel was located. Between 1990 and 1992 she worked on the Green Belt project in Frankfurt am Main .

From 1995 to 1996, Wormbs was teaching at the University of Oldenburg , where she has been an honorary professor since 1997. From 1999 to 2000 she taught as a visiting professor at the University of Kassel .
