Florentino Broce

Florentino Broce (* 1942 or 1943 ; † December 18, 2015 ) was a Filipino football player and coach.

Athletic career

Broce attended the University of De La Salle as a business student , for whose football team he appeared as a winger . Under Dettmar Cramer , he acquired his coaching license as part of a FIFA program . In 1972 he took on the role of coach for the Philippine U-20 national team , which he trained for the 1974 Asian Games after transforming it into the Philippine senior team. At the tournament, the team failed as the bottom of the group without their own goal scoring with 21 goals behind Israel , Malaysia and Japanearly. He then handed the position of senior national coach back to his predecessor Juan Cutillas .
