Bruckner University Big Band

The Bruckner University Big Band (BUBB) is an Austrian jazz orchestra under the direction of Christian Radovan .

history

The big band was founded by Christian Radovan in October 2016 as part of a course at the Institute for Jazz and Improvised Music at the Anton Bruckner Private University Linz. The ensemble comprises 22 students and professional musicians, all of whom are studying at the Bruckner University or have graduated there. The Bruckner University Big Band quickly gained attention after a short time of its formation and concerts were held in the Viennese jazz club Porgy & Bess and in the Brucknerhaus Linz. The band also completed their first successful tour of South Africa in 2018. Another tour through South Africa and Mozambique followed in 2019.
