Bruni Mayer

Bruni Mayer (born July 10, 1947 in Munich ) is a Lower Bavarian local politician ( UWG ). From November 30, 1987 to November 29, 2011 she was District Administrator of the Rottal-Inn district .

Mayer completed an apprenticeship as a milliner and an apprenticeship as a wholesale clerk and later worked for a newspaper. Her husband, the agricultural products dealer Ludwig Mayer († January 2006), has been the district administrator of the Rottal-Inn district since it was founded in 1972. When he resigned his office in 1983 due to allegations of financial irregularities and his re-election in 1984 was overturned by the administrative court in August 1987 , his wife ran for the office of district administrator. In the election on November 15, 1987, she prevailed and took office on November 30, 1987. On July 20, 2011 she was awarded the Bavarian Order of Merit. In the regular district election on October 23, 2011, the longest-serving district administrator in Bavaria no longer stood and retired at the end of November 2011.

Her life story was the content of a 30-minute TV documentary made in 1988, which was broadcast on ARD as part of the series Frauengeschichten .
