Bruno Ceccobelli
Bruno Ceccobelli (born September 2, 1952 in Monte Castello di Vibio ) is an Italian sculptor.
Life
Early life
Bruno Ceccobelli was born in Monte Castello di Vibio, a small village in Umbria . After that, his family went to Todi , where his basic education took place. After finishing school, Ceccobelli went to Rome to the Academy of Fine Art. There he learned the theory and practice of sculpture.
Career
In the early 1980s, Ceccobelli and other artists settled in Pastificio Cerere, a large industrial area in the Roman district of San Lorenzo. This group is known as the New Roman School or the San Lorenzo Art Workshop.
In the following years, Ceccobelli had many exhibitions across Europe. In 1984 and 1986 he was invited to the Venice Biennale .
Later work
After Ceccobelli continued his education, he later came to America. He had several exhibitions in New York in the late 1980s.
In the early 1990s he had exhibitions in Germany, Austria, Canada and Italy. In 1994 he was invited to the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Artes in Senegal.
In 2005 he became director of the Academy of Fine Arts in Perugia , but left the school after a year.
In the following years Ceccobelli had many exhibitions, especially in Italy.
