Bruno Debertolis (born August 4, 1978 in Feltre ) is an Italian cross-country skier .

Career

Debertolis started internationally for the first time at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 1997 in Canmore . There he took 32nd place over 10 km classic. The following year he won the bronze medal with the relay at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Pontresina . He made his debut in the cross-country skiing world cup in December 1998 in Toblach , which he finished in 41st place over 10 km freestyle. In the same month he ran his first race in the Continental Cup in Brusson . He came in 28th place over 10 km freestyle. At the end of December 1998 he got his first World Cup points in Garmisch-Partenkirchen with 19th place in the sprint. The following month he won the classic Continental Cup for the first time in Virgen over 30 km. In the 2000/01 season he reached eighth place in the sprint in Asiago, his first top ten placement in the individual World Cup. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2001 in Lahti , he came 23rd in the sprint. His best season in the World Cup was in 2003/04. He came in the points seven times and thus finished 54th in the overall World Cup and 19th in the Sprint World Cup. Fifth place in Pragelato in March 2004 was his best result in the individual World Cup. In January 2004, he took his second win in the Continental Cup in the sprint in Oberstdorf . In the same month he also achieved second place over 10 km classic in the Continental Cup in Bernau in the Black Forest . In the 2005/06 season he came in the Alpine Cup with four placements in the top ten, including second place in the sprint and first place in the 30 km mass start race in Santa Maria Maggiore , tenth place in the overall standings. He completed his last World Cup race in February 2009 in Valdidentro , which he finished in 58th place. Since 2006 he has mainly participated in ski marathon races. In 2010, 2011 and 2013 he won the Gsieser-Tal-Lauf classic over 42 km. At Toblach – Cortina he triumphed in 2011 over 30 km freestyle, 2012 over 42 km classic and 2014 over 25 km classic. His best overall placings are 25th place in the 2006/07 season in the Marathon Cup and 11th place in the 2013/14 season in the Ski Classics .
