Toblach – Cortina
Toblach – Cortina (Italian Dobbiaco – Cortina ) is a cross- country run between Toblach in the South Tyrolean Puster Valley and Cortina d'Ampezzo in Veneto .
history
The competition has been held in classic technology since 1977. The length of the race varied over the years between 30 and 42 km. For the 2015/16 season, the race was added to the Ski Classics calendar and the route was extended to 50 km. Due to a lack of snow, only an alternative route over 32 km around Dobbiaco could be prepared for the first event as part of the Ski Classics.
Since 2007, a freestyle race over 30 km has been held and a combined ranking for those athletes who take part in both the freestyle race and the classic technique.
On the route from Toblach to Cortina, since 2010, the Tour de Ski pursuit stages have been held regularly as part of the cross-country skiing world cup .
