Career

Shakirsyanov was respectively junior world champion with the relay in 2008 and 2009 and reached his first top 10 placement in the Eastern Europe Cup in November 2008 in the sprint in Vershina Tjoi with ninth place . He made his debut in the cross-country skiing world cup in January 2010 at the Tour de Ski . He finished 18th on the third stage, which was held as a sprint, and scored his first World Cup points; However, he did not take part in the penultimate stage. His first podium place in the Eastern Europe Cup reached Shakirsyanov in November 2010 with second place over 15 km classic in Vershina Tjoi.
