Guidina Dal Sasso (born January 16, 1958 in Asiago ) is a former Italian cross-country skier .

Career

Dal Sasso ran in March 1982 in Štrbské Pleso, her first of a total of 80 World Cup individual races , which she finished in 12th place over 10 km. Her best placings at the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo were tenth place over 20 km and ninth place with the relay. The following year she won the silver medal at the Winter Universiade in Belluno over 5 km and 10 km respectively. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1985 in Seefeld in Tirol , she achieved 14th place over 20 km and eighth place over 10 km.

In the 1985/86 season she came in the points in all four World Cup competitions. With fourth place in Labrador City over 5 km freestyle and in Oslo over 10 km freestyle, she achieved her best individual placement in the World Cup and with eleventh place in the overall World Cup her best overall placement. In the following season she ran with two top ten finishes to 20th place in the overall World Cup. At the highlight of the season, the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1987 in Oberstdorf , she took 15th place over 10 km classic, seventh place over 20 km freestyle and fifth place with the relay. Her best results at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary were eleventh place over 10 km classic and tenth place with the relay.

At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 1989 she came 31st place over 10 km freestyle and 30th place over 10 km classic and at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1991 in Val di Fiemme she came 15th over 15 km classic. In February 1994 she achieved 17th place over 30 km classic at the Winter Olympics in Lillehammer . In the 1994/95 season she came in 15 individual World Cup starts, 13 times in the points, including twice in the top ten and thus reached 17th place in the overall World Cup. In addition, she was third in the season in Hamar . Her best results at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1995 in Thunder Bay were eighth place in the 30 km freestyle and fourth place with the relay. In March 1996 in Falun and in December 1996 in Brusson she won third place with the relay. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1997 in Trondheim , she finished 49th over 15 km freestyle.

She completed her last individual World Cup race in December 1997 in Fiemme Valley, which she finished in 53rd place over 15 km freestyle. In the Continental Cup she was in Brussels in February 1994 and in December 1995 in Campra second over 10 km freestyle and in December 1997 in Campra third over 10 km freestyle. In 1991, 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999 she triumphed at the Marcialonga . In 1990 she won the Engadin Skimarathon , in 1999 the Gsieser-Tal-Lauf ( 42 km freestyle) and the Toblach – Cortina -lauf (39.5 km classic). and in 2003 the Marathon de Bessans .

Her son Paolo Longo Borghini (* 1980) and her daughter Elisa Longo Borghini (* 1991) are active in cycling .
