Mattia Pellegrin (born June 8, 1989 in Cavalese ) is an Italian cross-country skier .
Career
Pellegrin has mainly participated in the Alpine Cup since 2007 . He has had two wins so far and was sixth overall in the 2012/13 season . He ran his first World Cup race in December 2012 in Canmore , which he finished in 19th place in the 15 km mass start race and thus also got his first World Cup points. He finished the 2012/13 Tour de Ski in 54th place. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2013 in Val di Fiemme , he finished 38th in the 50 km mass start race. At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , he reached 36th place over 15 km classic. In February 2015, he took 23rd place in the 50 km mass start race at the 2015 Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun . Also in 2015 he won the classic 30 km at Toblach – Cortina . At the Tour de Ski 2016 , he finished 45th.
Personal
Pellegrin is the brother of Sebastiano Pellegrin , who is also a cross-country skier.
