Giulia Stürz (born June 20, 1993 ) is an Italian cross-country skier .

Career

Stürz started for the first time in December 2013 in Ortisei am Pillersee in the freestyle sprint in the Alpine Cup and won the race straight away. A month later she won the sprint again in Chamonix . At the subsequent U23 World Championships in Fiemme Valley , Stürz won bronze in the sprint and came fifth in the skiathlon . In February 2014, she won the Alpine Cup in Oberwiesenthal with the Italian freestyle relay . A month later, Stürz made her debut in the World Cup in Lahti , where she finished 53rd in the sprint and 61st place over 10 km classic. In the 2014/15 season she started again in Davos and at the Tour de Ski in the World Cup, but missed the points in each case . At the beginning of February 2015, Stürz won bronze in the sprint and relay at the U23 World Championships in Almaty and was tenth over 10 km freestyle. She then won a stage race at the Alpine Cup in Campra and won the sprint in Rogla . At the Rollerski World Championships 2015 in Fiemme Valley, Stürz won the silver medal in the team sprint alongside Gaia Vuerich .
