Bruno Gerber (ice hockey player)
Bruno Gerber (born February 2, 1936 in Bern ; † May 21, 2005 in Davos ) was a Swiss ice hockey player and coach and between 1980 and 2000 director of Davos Tourism .
Career
The defensive player Gerber was demonstrably active from at least 1953 to 1962 for SC Bern , with whom he won the Swiss championship in 1959 under head coach Ernst Wenger .
From 1992 to 1995 he was the head coach of SC Unterseen-Interlaken behind the gang.
After his career as an ice hockey player, Gerber initially worked as a congress manager and spa director in Wengen . He then worked in the same position in Davos from 1980 . He later became director of Davos Tourism . From 1986 he pushed for the establishment of the Sport-Gymnasium Davos , established several foundations and development associations in Davos.
Gerber died in Davos in May 2005.
International
For Switzerland , Gerber was on the ice at the A World Championships in 1959 and 1962 and the B World Championship in 1961 .
