Bruno Kernen (born March 25, 1961 in Schönried , Canton of Bern ) is a former Swiss ski racer .

Kernen won the bronze medal in the downhill at the European Junior Championships in 1979 in Achenkirch and was able to score points in the World Cup from 1982 to 1986 . In the course of his World Cup career, he was among the top ten 22 times. His greatest success was in 1983 winning the Hahnenkamm race in Kitzbühel .

Bruno Kernen has a younger namesake: Bruno Kernen , born in 1972, who was also a ski racer.

Today, Kernen and his family run a hotel in his home town of Schönried.
