Bruno Leinweber

Bruno Leinweber (* 1908 in Füssen ; † October 16, 1989 ) was a German ice hockey defender , coach , referee and functionary . He was inducted into the German Hall of Fame for ice hockey for his functionary work .

Player career

Bruno Leinweber played - like his brother Walter Leinweber - in the EV Füssen ice hockey team in the position of defender from 1924 to 1932.

Coaching

Between 1933 and 1939, 1948 to 1952 and again in the 1956/57 season he took over the coaching position at the EVF and led them to the championship title in 1949 and 1957 .

Between 1953 and 1955 he took over the office of national coach.

referee

From 1935 he also acted as a referee and came to several international assignments - u. a. at the 1936 Winter Olympics .

Functionary activity

At times he acted as manager of the EVF. At the German Ice Sports Association he was an ice hockey chairman and trained referees.

Honors

Leinweber was a member of the German Hall of Fame , which is run by the Ice Hockey Museum and an honorary member of the German Ice Hockey Federation .
