Bruno Schäfer
Otto Bruno Schäfer (born September 5, 1883 in Leipzig , † July 29, 1957 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a German sculptor , designer and university professor .
Life
From 1901 to 1905, Bruno Schäfer attended the municipal commercial training school and the arts and crafts school in Frankfurt. In 1906 he won the Rome Prize of the City of Frankfurt, which enabled him to study in Rome from 1906 to 1908. In the 1940s he taught and directed sculpture at what is now the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Offenbach.

From 1928 to 1929 he designed figures for Max Roesler AG , the Plaue porcelain factory, and later also worked for the Karlsruhe majolica factory. There is a fountain he designed in Offenbach's main train station . As an artist he preferred to work with ivory .
