Btissam Lakhouad ( Arabic ابتسام لخواد; * December 7, 1980 in Khouribga ) is a Moroccan middle-distance runner .

Life

Lakhouad finished twelfth in the 1,500-meter run at the 2008 Beijing Olympics . Over the same distance, she was eliminated from the semifinals of the 2009 World Athletics Championships in Berlin, but a short time later she won the gold medal at the Jeux de la Francophonie in Beirut.

At the 2010 World Cross Country Championships in Bydgoszcz, she finished 34th. In the same year she won the bronze medal over 1500 meters at the African Athletics Championships in Nairobi . At the African Cross Country Championships 2011 in Cape Town, she was sixth.
