Buch is a district of Altenstadt an der Waldnaab in the district of Neustadt an der Waldnaab in the Bavarian administrative district of Upper Palatinate .

Geographical location

Buch lies on the east bank of the Dürrschweinnaab . In the south, Buch is bypassed by the district road NEW 2 , which , coming from Parkstein , merges 1.4 km further west into the federal road 22 . Buch is located 1 km north of Meerbodenreuth and 4 km northwest of Altenstadt an der Waldnaab.

The book (also: Purchhut, Puoch, Puch) is listed in the Herzogsurbar from 1301 with 10 yards and a mill as belonging to Parkstein and Raft . Buch is also mentioned in the books of 1416, 1440, 1475. In 1531, Buch appears in the draft files with a crew.

  • Burghut subjects of Hans Heinrich Nothaft von Wernberg: 8 farmers, 4 residents (including the miller, the shepherd and the shepherd), 5 farms, 3 Gütel, 1 mill; everything is desolate and devastated, including the fields and meadows. 2 cows, 2 bee colonies.
