Haidmühle is a district of Altenstadt an der Waldnaab in the district of Neustadt an der Waldnaab in the Bavarian administrative district of Upper Palatinate .

Geographical location

Haidmühle is located on the southwest bank of the Sauerbach . The Dürrschweinnaab flows into the Sauerbach 200 m south of Haidmühle .

Haidmühle is located on the south bank of the Haidmühlweiher. The Haidmühlweiher is the most south-westerly of a 2.5 km long row of ponds on the south-east bank of the Sauerbach.

500 m west of Haidmühle there is a motorway slip road from federal highway 22 to federal highway 93 ( Hof - Kiefersfelden ). Haidmühle is located 1 km west of Altenstadt an der Waldnaab.

Haidmühle belonged to the Princely Lobkowitz County. In addition to Haidmühle, the villages of Sauernlohe , Neustadt an der Waldnaab , Störnstein , Wiedenhof , Aich , Roschau , Görnitz , Harlesberg , Altenstadt an der Waldnaab, Mühlberg , Denkreuth , Ernsthof , Lanz , Oberndorf , Rastenhof , Wöllershof , Botzersreuth and Kronmühle also belonged to this county , Saint Quirin . In addition, the area of Waldthurn with 28 villages and wastelands belonged to this county. Prince Franz Josef von Lobkowitz, Duke zu Raudnitz, sold all these properties to the Crown of Bavaria in 1807 .
