Ernsthof is a district of Störnstein in the Neustadt an der Waldnaab district in the Bavarian administrative district of Upper Palatinate .

Geographical location

Ernsthof lies between the Schlattein in the north and the Reiserbach in the south on the eastern slope of the Ketzerrang. Both streams flow into the Waldnaab which flows from north to south 1 km west of Ernsthof.

Ernsthof is 1 km west of Lanz and 2.5 km northwest of Störnstein. State road 2172 runs 500 m south of Ernsthof .

history

Ernsthof (also: Ernnsthoff) was mentioned in the interest register of 1514 as Einödhof with the name Siebenreuth. In Urbar from 1602 Ernsthof appeared with two courtyards.

Ernsthof belonged to the Lobkowitzian lordship of Störnstein-Neustadt. The localities Haidmühle , Sauernlohe , Neustadt an der Waldnaab , Störnstein , Wiedenhof , Aich , Roschau , Görnitz , Harlesberg , Altenstadt an der Waldnaab, Mühlberg , Denkreuth , Ernsthof, Lanz , Oberndorf , Rastenhof , Wöllershof , Botzersreuth , Kronmühle belonged to this rule . Saint Quirin . In addition, the area of Waldthurn with 28 villages and wastelands belonged to this rule.

In 1641, Störnstein-Neustadt was raised to the status of a princely county under Wenzel Eusebius von Lobkowicz . The rulership was divided into 4 quarters: Neustädter Viertel, Altenstädter Viertel, Denkreuther Viertel and Oberndorfer Viertel. Ernsthof belonged to the Denkreuth district.

Ernsthof recorded the land register from 1653 with 2 teams. In the tax book of 1742 Ernsthof was listed with 2 farms, 2 horses, 4 oxen, 9 cows, 12 young cattle, 2 mother sows, 5 freshlings and 23 sheep. In 1797 Ernsthof had 2 farms and 2 lordship subjects.

In 1807 Prince Franz Josef von Lobkowitz, Duke zu Raudnitz, sold the prince-prince of Störnstein-Neustadt to the Crown of Bavaria .

The solitude of Ernsthof belonged to the Lanz tax district founded in the early 19th century . Lanz was at the same time a direct rural community, which also contained the tax district Wöllershof. The municipality of Lanz included Botzersreuth, Dürrmaulmühle, Ernsthof, Kronmühle, Lanz, Oberndorf, Sankt Quirin, Rastenhof, Reisersdorf and Wöllershof. Together with the Lanz community, Ernsthof was incorporated into the Störnstein community on January 1, 1972.
