history

Reiserdorf (also Reisersdorf, Galgendorf ) belonged to the Lanz tax district founded at the beginning of the 19th century . Lanz was at the same time a direct rural community, which also contained the tax district Wöllershof. The municipality of Lanz included Botzersreuth, Dürrmaulmühle, Ernsthof, Kronmühle, Lanz, Oberndorf, Sankt Quirin, Rastenhof, Reisersdorf and Wöllershof.

When Archbishop Michael Buchberger established his own parish in Neustadt an der Waldnaab in 1929 , Reiserdorf was parished into it together with Wöllershof, Ilsenbach , Oberndorf , Botzersreuth , Kronmühle and Sankt Quirin .

Together with the rest of the community of Lanz, Reiserdorf was incorporated into the community of Störnstein on January 1, 1972 as part of the municipal reform.

Originally consisting of only a few properties, the place grew slowly in the 20th century, then several times its size in the 2000s and 2010s due to strong settlement activity.
