Oberndorf is a district of Störnstein in the district of Neustadt an der Waldnaab in the Bavarian administrative district of Upper Palatinate .

Geographical location

Oberndorf lies between the Ilsenbach in the north and the Reiserbach in the south. The Ilsenbach flows into the Schlattein 900 m north of Oberndorf . Another unnamed stream rises on the western edge of Oberndorf and also flows into the Schlattein through a narrow gorge. The Schlattein and the Reiserbach flow into the Waldnaab which flows from north to south 2 km west of Oberndorf.

Oberndorf is on the north side of the state road 2172 . On the south side of the street, directly opposite, is the village of Lanz . Oberndorf is located 2 km north of Störnstein.

history

The Wittelsbacher Ludwig der Strenge bought the Störnstein estate from Ulrich Stör in 1262 and united it with the Neustadt estate to form the Störnstein-Neustadt estate. The sturgeon family was a branch of the Lords of Murach , who were connected with the Ortenburgers . This purchase was an attempt by the Wittelsbachers to reduce the influence of the Ortenburgers in the Upper Palatinate.

The Salbuch Ludwig des Strengen from 1283 recorded Oberndorf with 3 farms as belonging to the Störnstein lordship.

Oberndorf was recorded in the land registers from 1285 and 1326. In the Bohemian Salbüchlein from 1366, two desolate farms in Oberndorf were named. The interest register from 1514 mentioned Oberndorf with 2 goods, as did the land register from 1602.

Oberndorf belonged to the Lobkowitzian lordship of Störnstein-Neustadt. The localities Haidmühle , Sauernlohe , Neustadt an der Waldnaab , Störnstein , Wiedenhof , Aich , Roschau , Görnitz , Harlesberg , Altenstadt an der Waldnaab, Mühlberg , Denkreuth , Ernsthof , Lanz , Oberndorf, Rastenhof , Wöllershof , Botzersreuth , Kronmühle , belonged to this rule . Saint Quirin . In addition, the area of Waldthurn with 28 villages and wastelands belonged to this rule.

1641 Störnstein-Neustadt was Wenzel Eusebius of Lobkowicz to applicable princely county . The rulership was divided into 4 quarters: Neustädter Viertel, Altenstädter Viertel, Denkreuther Viertel and Oberndorfer Viertel. Oberndorf belonged to the Oberndorf district.

The land register of 1653 and the register of subjects from 1741 listed 2 farms and 2 teams for Oberndorf. In 1742 Oberndorf had 2 farms, 1 horse, 10 oxen, 6 cows, 2 young cattle, 2 mother sows, 2 newborns and 6 sheep. In 1797 there were 2 courtyards, 1 shepherd's house and 2 lordship subjects in Oberndorf.

In 1807 Prince Franz Josef von Lobkowitz, Duke zu Raudnitz, sold the prince-prince of Störnstein-Neustadt to the Crown of Bavaria .

Oberndorf belonged to the Lanz tax district founded at the beginning of the 19th century . Lanz was at the same time a direct rural community, which also contained the tax district Wöllershof. The municipality of Lanz included Botzersreuth, Dürrmaulmühle, Ernsthof, Kronmühle, Lanz, Oberndorf, Sankt Quirin, Rastenhof, Reisersdorf and Wöllershof. Together with the community of Lanz, Oberndorf was incorporated into the community of Störnstein on January 1, 1972.
