The Bukhara Fritillarie ( Fritillaria bucharica ) is a plant from the genus of Fritillaria in the family of Liliaceae (Liliaceae).

description

The Bukhara fritillaria is a perennial herbaceous plant that reaches heights of 15 to 30 centimeters. This geophyte forms onions as persistent organs. The leaves are gray-green. The lower leaves are about 8 centimeters and 4 centimeters wide, the upper ones are lanceolate and opposite in the inflorescence . The tepals are white or pale purple, have green veins, are nodding or protruding and not curved outwards. They are rarely from 10, usually 15 to 20 millimeters long and 4 to 5 millimeters wide. Usually 3 to 10, rarely 1 to 15 single leaves are arranged in a loose cluster . The fruit capsule is 15 to 20 millimeters wide.

The flowering period extends from April to May.

The number of chromosomes is 2n = 24.

Occurrence

The Bukhara fritillary occurs in Central Asia in the West Pamir Alai and in northern Afghanistan on stony-gravel and fine-earth slopes, between rocks and in loose shrubbery at altitudes of 900 to 2400 meters.
